Medical Assistant
Looking for a Full-Time Medical Assistant
Job Duties: Provide assisted care to patients. Facilitates the efficient delivery of patient care, supports the professional role of the licensed staff, and provides support and assistance as directed by licensed staff in rendering basic healthcare to the patient. Assists with clerical functions as a multi-skilled auxiliary worker. Receives and retrieves patient care calls, addresses questions directly or confers with doctor to resolve questions or concerns. Triage calls as needed. Under the direction of licensed staff, helps schedule appointments, procedures and diagnostic tests. Assists in routine clerical functions such as filing medical information in patient's EMR record, arranging ancillary testing for patients, pre-authorization calls and obtaining medical records from other providers when required. Primary communicator of normal lab results. Performs other related tasks as assigned.
Requirements: Must have graduated from an accredited Medical Assisting program or have equivalent training by qualified organization
Pay: Hourly, depends on experience
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30a-5pm
