Learning Disability Testing
If educational testing has been suggested for your child, the following is recommended:
Written request by a parent or guardian to the school counselor and principal for
1) WISC-IV (intelligence assessment)
2) Woodcock-Johnson, revised (achievement assessment)
These tests are time-intensive and need to be administered by trained personnel.
Under current Federal Acts these tests must be performed within a specified timeframe and the results given to you in a written form. These results are often incorporated into an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP), should abnormalities exist.

Need an Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD/ADHD) evaluation?
Many learning disabilities co-exist with or mimic ADD/ADHD, so prior to our office scheduling an evaluation for ADD/ADHD you must have the full report of the assessments listed above from your child's school. To allow for thorough review of the documents, we ask that you drop off a copy of this report at our office at the time you schedule an appointment .
